Fast-growing tree to 30m tall. Rough stocking of bark to halfway, smooth and white above. Glossy green leaves. White flowers during the warmer months. Suited to coastal areas, in sandy loams, heavy clays and volcanic soil. Good shelterbelt and shade tree. Economically one of Australia's most important hardwoods. Light frost only. Koala food tree.
