Hardy, adaptable, fast-growing tree to 15m high in cultivation, 40m high in the wild. Large glossy foliage and white flowers in summer. Most soils but best in moist well-drained fertile soil, in full sun. Keep soil moist during dry periods. Frost tolerant. Timber is used in decking/flooring.
